Breaking the Cycle

History shows a pattern of economic boom and bust, yet why does this cycle continue? Human nature plays a key part in this repetition but million-years-old cognitive biases in our brain are unlikely to change. This article proposes that the study of economics needs to take a multi-disciplinary approach to ensure future generations of economists don’t repeat the same financial mistakes of the past.
